Duties of Position

Applies advanced technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that typically cannot be solved solely by referencing manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Performs medium to complex technical tasks to assist engineers with electronic systems. Plans, procures, fabricates, removes, installs, and completes all mechanical and electrical work efforts. Performs equipment removal, cabling, connectorization, electrical equipment installation, equipment overhauls, fabricating and assembling electronics subassemblies, and calibration checks on electronic instruments. Troubleshoots electronics systems to determine cause and remedy for malfunctioning, conducts routine engineering tests, keeps equipment/parts inventories, and assists with general lab work. Provides on-site installation support. Organizes and updates technical documentation, including test procedures, schematics and engineering drawings. Continues to develop working knowledge of all operating standards, practices, and procedures, including safety procedures. Supports Quality Assurance Manager and Production Manager. Provides on-the-job training and instruction as necessary. Performs special projects as required. Experience performing overhauls and repairs of Radio Frequency (RF) communications and Radar systems. Working knowledge of the the deployable terminal air traffic control system, AN/TPN-19 is a plus. AN/TPN-19 is comprised of an Airport Surveillance Radar (AN/TPN-24), a Precision Approach Radar (AN/TPN-25) and an operations center distributed in two shelters (OK 235 and 236).





Required Skills & Experience

5 yrs recent C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and de-installation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes. Working knowledge and experience with test equipment, machine language, and troubleshooting skills.



This position requires a Secret US DoD security clearance.





Preferred Skills



Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2008 and 2015.





Additional Notes

Completion of an appropriate military “A" school and completion of at least one appropriate military “B" or "C" school may be substituted for the two year requirement; Associate’s or higher in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (EE), Computer Engineering (CE), Computer Science (CS), Technology Management (TM), Information Systems (IS), Information Resources Management (IRM), Information Technology (IT) or Physics.
