Description



 



The primary purpose of this role is to support the Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting teams with all systems and reporting needs. The Analyst will research, evaluate, maintain and improve the accounting systems.  The analyst will understand unique data output needs, translate requirements into reporting solutions, and prepare necessary supporting analytics and reports to assist departmental and business insights and decision making.



 



RESPONSIBILITIES:




  • Support Accounting Operations and Financial Reporting Departments with all systems’ needs.

  • Support of data management and Business Intelligence tools (SAS, BIC, Tableau, IBS Insight, Axiom, etc.). Work closely with the management team to understand and document reporting requirements and needs.

  • Develop, create and maintain monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports, variance analyses, management reporting.

  • Be the subject matter expert for all Prologue functionalities and technical areas.

  • Manage Prologue maintenance, including but not limited to: maintain GL structure, cost center structures, open and closing periods, create and update reports, lead current system upgrades and enhancements.

  • Manage FIS Accounting maintenance to ensure GL/CC combinations are updated.

  • Produce and maintain detailed and accurate documentation to support new or modified functionality.

  • Troubleshoot software application errors or applications not operating. Working with users, isolate problems from symptoms, determine solution or alternatives, and develop and implement a resolution.

  • Analyze current operational procedures to identify opportunities for efficiencies through automation, standardization, training, etc.

  • Document detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.

  • Lead new system implementation and upgrade projects.

  • Systems managed or support functionalities: Prologue Financials, Axiom, MS Office, FIS Accounting, W-Desk (for regulatory filling), Jack Henry / Fed Reporter



 



REQUIREMENTS:




  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems or relevant experience as a data and reporting analyst.

  • Experience preparing technical documentation including process mapping, configuration and testing.

  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively across the organization.




  • Experience in data models, database design development, and reporting techniques. Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft SQL and Excel.




  • Knowledge in database design and SQL.

  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.




  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
