Produces and applies vinyl sign graphics by utilizing plotters, large format solvent inkjet printer, and flatbed printer; ensures proper scaling and graphic application/installation.



Responsibilities:





  • Plans graphic applications by studying work orders, materials, specifications, technical drawings, and deadline parameters




  • Performs set-up of graphic files bearing in mind efficient use of materials




  • Communicates closely with CNC Router Operator, Fabrication Department and Illustration Department to ensure accuracy and production efficiency




  • Maintains large format solvent inkjet printer and other plotting equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs




  • Ensures quality of work and detail of completed work




  • Cuts, weeds and applies vinyl to sign substrate surfaces




  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications




  • Installations of field graphics when necessary (regional travel required)

  • Ability to perform intermediate math skills, define geometric shapes and calculate percentages and ratios





Education/Training:





  • Minimum high school graduate or GED equivalent




  • Formal Graphics Training





Required Experience:





  • Minimum 3 years of graphic industry experience
