Responsibilities:

• Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items

to be moved, gathered, or distributed.

• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.

• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence

such as type or product code.

• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to

packing station or shipping department.

• Marks materials with identifying information.

• Opens boxes, crates, and other containers.

• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

• Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.

• Uses computer to enter records.

• Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.

• Prepares parcels for mailing or shipping.

• Maintains inventory records.

• Ensure housekeeping standards are met

• Ensure warehouse security during business hours

• Demonstrate good customer service skills with both internal and external customers

• Comply with all applicable policies and procedures



May also perform additional, specialized duties in different sites such as:



• Deliver orders to customers on pre-assigned route

• Service customers at the will call counter including pulling the order, receiving payment, and

preparing invoice

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.



Computer Skills:

Ability to learn and use company computer processing system.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Language Ability:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ability to complete routine reports work documents.

• Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.



Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.



Physical Demands

• May also engage in excessive walking, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling of parts and

part containers

• Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and

temperature. Conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision.

• The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and rarely up to 70 and up to 100 lbs with

assistance. The employee is required to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of time.
