We are seeking a reliable Medical Assistant with at least 3 years of experience  working with pediatric patients.  The Medical Assistant's various clinical and office responsibilities include, but are not limited to: taking and recording patient information such as vital signs and changes in medical history of each patient; collecting and preparing test samples; updating and maintaining electronic patient records; explaining common medical procedures, treatments, guidelines and physician instructions to patients and their families; assisting physicians in conducting basic physical examinations; performing various screening examinations and administering medications, treatments, and vaccines as directed by the physicians; maintaining a safe and clean environment for the patients, their families, and the health care staff; managing and maintaining an adequate inventory of needed medical materials, equipment, and supplies, etc. The Medical Assistant must be certified, exhibit a high level of professionalism and strong customer service skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish, be efficient in the use of electronic medical records, be experienced and knowledgeable about the AAP recommended vaccine administration schedule, and efficient in the use of the Florida Shots program.
