RN Magnet Program Coordinator-York, PA



Provides oversight of the Magnet Program and implementation of creative systems, processes, shared decision making and clinical practices that improve patient care delivery. Responsibilities include ensuring the Magnet Program framework and essential domains are enculturated and hardwired into the organization through coordination, education and consultation with leadership. Coordinates all aspects of the ANCC Magnet application, annual reports and re-designation process.



 



Responsibilities:



Including but not limited to:




  • Coordinates efforts to achieve and maintain Magnet Hospital designation.

  • Conducts gap analysis for evidence of the Magnet Model components and works closely with leadership to formulate plans to close the gaps in performance.

  • Responsible for fostering innovation and excellence in nursing.

  • Coordinates and facilitates Magnet Councils.

  • Manages performance requirements on an ongoing basis and re-application.

  • Functions as primary liaison with Magnet Program Office.

  • Coordinates and supports other activities related to professional nursing practice and care innovation as assigned by the Chief Nursing Officer.



Magnet Program Coordinator




  • Partners with all nurse leaders to ensure focus on exemplary professional practice, quality, safety and patient care outcomes.




  • Provides direction and supervision to the Quality and Business Analysts in the Nursing Excellence and Innovation Center.



Requirements:




  • RN license in PA

  • Master’s or doctorate degree, or BSN with the active pursuit of Master’s degree

  • Project Management

  • Current BLS



Required Experience:




  • (5) five years nursing.

  • Experience working in a Magnet-recognized hospital.

  • At least (3) three years of experience in management or an administrative role required.
