Position Overview:



The Merchandising team of Take 5 Oil Change is a key growth function focused on increasing both revenue and profitability by defining product/service strategies and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain for the business. The Analyst role will be responsible for, among other things: tracking and analyzing product sales and promo performance, actively managing costs as well as the Take5 internal procurement platform, developing detailed reporting and analytics tools to evaluate sales and profitability, and supporting the field with execution of key programs and product knowledge. This role reports to the Director of Merchandising Strategy.



 



Primary Responsibilities:




  • Analyzing automotive and demographic trends to define product and service strategies

  • Partnering with Marketing and Marketing Analytics team to evaluate pricing and promo strategies

  • Analyzing market and internal data to inform demand planning and inventory management programs

  • Actively managing product quality while analyzing costs and service from vendors, identifying opportunities to improve current supply chain

  • Maintain vendor price lists and product catalog for Take5 procurement platform

  • Design reporting and analytics tools to track performance and inform decision making

  • Support the operations team and build knowledge assets for internal communication platform



Qualifications:




  • Undergraduate degree required

  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools/databases is a plus

  • 2 years of post-graduate experience is preferred, but not required

  • Experience in merchandising, product strategy, revenue management, inventory management or relevant consulting is preferred, but not required

  • Experience in consumer, retail, services or automotive is a plus, but not required
