Our client, a growing small/mid-sized company, has an immediate need for a new senior accountant. The senior accountant will report directly to the controller and will be primarily responsible for general ledger maintenance.

Along with the daily responsibilities, the senior accountant will also collaborate with the controller and other leaders to help improve policies and procedures. Duties include:
- General ledger review.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Intercompany account reconciliations.
- Month end journal entries.
- Budget variance analysis.
- Making recommendations for improved cost effectiveness and procedural efficiency.
- Assisting with annual budget creation.
- Assisting in annual financial audit.
- Overseeing the billing process.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Candidates for the senior accountant position should have 3+ years of general ledger accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting and/or finance, or 5+ years of experience with G/L maintenance and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
