Software Researcher/Engineer, Perception at Magic Leap, Inc. Position located in Sunnyvale, CA. Contribute to the research and development effort of advanced, product-critical computer vision components such as hand tracking and gesture recognition. Work hand-in-hand with the key stakeholders and developers across the company using computer vision components; and with the researchers developing the core algorithms. Support overall research engineering and architecture efforts of computer vision and machine learning components. Execute the roadmap of new features. Write maintainable, reusable code, leveraging test driven principles to develop high quality geometric vision and machine learning modules. Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and other technical issues. Review individual developer's code in the team to ensure highest code quality in Computer Vision and Deep Learning components. Must have a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field. Must have verifiable proficiency with the following skills: Python programming and debugging; C/C++ (programming and debugging); Deep Learning; OpenCV. Verifiable proficiency in one of the following: Sensor Calibration, 3D Reconstruction, 2D/3D Pose Estimation and Tracking, Hand Meshing and Hand Reconstruction, Computer vision algorithms on device.
