Serve as a key leader within the enterprise’s Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team and is responsible for developing and presenting key financial analysis and plans for Abzena. Develop and implement complex strategic decisions for asset segmentation, capacity planning, financial planning, and productivity initiatives. Conduct quantitative analyses of financial performance of Abzena's entire global operations. Provide financial planning, monthly financial forecasting and reporting, and financial strategy plans for short-term and long-term horizon. Oversee the preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly financial statement forecasts and review these forecasts with senior finance and business leadership. Provide analyses to support financial and business operations for the company's overall operations. Monitor process effectiveness and efficiency against goals and objectives, and apply corrective actions to correct deviations from original financial strategies. Evaluate production strategies, as well as decision-making on the network and create policies in relation to these strategies. Recommend changes to improve performance and partner with sales and operations leadership in designing terms for commercial contracts.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s or foreign equivalent degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field, plus at least four (4) years of financial planning/analysis, operational finance or financial management, in the biotechnology industry.
This position also requires four (4) years of experience in each of the following:
• Overseeing management reporting and financial planning;
• Leading short-term and strategic-long term financial planning activities;
• Working with all levels of management and other colleagues;
• Driving business priorities and financial goals by identifying key focus areas with the highest impact;
• Coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure business success; and
• Presenting findings and appropriate recommendations to top management


Occasional travel from home to HQ may be required.

Job Location: San Diego, CA. Telecommuting allowed 100% of the time within the State of CA. 40 hours per week, 9:00am – 5:00pm. Salary: $212,243 – $252,000 per year.
