Job Description:

Partner with business and technical teams to design and develop in-house data driven solutions for complex decision-making problems through systematic application of computer science, analytics, mathematical optimization, and machine learning. Apply cutting edge technologies in the areas of Order Fulfillment, Supply Chain, and Robotics. Develop algorithms and applications from inception to implementation and collaborate across departments to productionize solutions. Hands-on ownership architecting and developing highly scalable and highly available implementations in public Cloud and on-prem. Participate in the entire SaaS lifecycle driving adoption and scale applying best practices that drive agility and quality. Work closely with product management and program management to derive application requirements, set expectations, and communicate progress. Position is fixed based in Framingham, MA; however, telecommuting permitted up to 100%.

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm.
Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or a directly related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer or in a related occupation. Experience must include:

Two (2) years of experience in the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Programming in Java or Python
- Experience with Big Data frameworks such as Spark or Kafka
- Architecting and developing distributed applications with focus on performance and scale in the Cloud
- Using fast-paced Agile principles with technical designs, iterative development, and code reviews
- Building microservices using Spring/Springboot framework including Spring JPA, Spring Batch, Spring Security, Spring Cloud, and Spring Data Stream
- Working with No SQL databases Couchbase, Redis or Mongo
- Working with SQL databases Oracle, MySQL or Postgress
- Working with IDE Eclipse, Spring tool Suites or DBeaver
- Working with messaging applications IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ or JMS
- Building and optimizing production grade data pipelines (stream processing and batch) to prepare datasets at scale for data analysis, modeling, and optimization.

Will also accept a Masters degree (or foreign equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience in the alternative.
