Senior UI/UX Engineer, Digital Hub - Madrid, Spain

In this critical role, you will be responsible for developing innovative, efficient, and actionable technology solutions to drive front-end channels (including the digital bank mobile app and digital wallet). You will collaborate closely with other engineers and Product Owners to translate customer needs into use cases and high-level requirements, and to identify suitable solutions. Your primary goal will be to ensure that products are delivered on time, under budget, and with successful deployment.


Role Responsibilities


Strong emphasis on customer journey, product quality, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and continuous development.

Ensure that products are delivered according to plan, under budget and deployed successfully.

Help integrate new technologies into the Digital Ecosystem.

Provide direction and guidance on solution designs and architecture to ensure appropriate fit within enterprise standards.

Provide day-to-day guidance and mentoring to the web production team.

Ensure that the development team follows standard SDLC, and PLC procedures and processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders on planning and scheduling of product releases.

Work with manager and peers to proactively suggest areas of improvements and enhancements.

Work with industry partners in integrating our systems with other applications or systems.

You will propose the most optimum technical solutions in order to drive industry best in class KPI results.

Troubleshoot integration issues and coordinate issue resolution with operations, functional, and technical teams.


Role Requirements


A minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in front-end engineering, although candidates with other relevant experience will be considered.

A degree in Computer Science or related fields.

Evaluate product requirements for operational feasibility and create detailed specifications & tech designs based on user stories.

Drive technical innovations in the product constantly to remain ahead of the curve

Experience with UX/UI concepts, architecture design and techniques and the ability to communicate and evangelize those concepts to internal stakeholders and external partners.

3+ years of experience building web and mobile applications (using React Native or Angular; .NET, React, and other technologies).

Experience with Component/Add-on s Development or similar.

Experience with unit testing and mocking frameworks.

Experience with agile development methodologies with Test Driven Development (TDD)

Experience with mobile CI/CD tooling

A proven track record of writing high quality, efficient code using JavaScript, .NET, APIs and/or similar scripting languages will be highly valuable.

Experience with HTTP, XML, JSON, Node JS, JavaScript; and design patterns.

Hands-on experience in Java/J2EE, XML, Web technologies or Web Services

Hands-on experience in building microservices based architecture and platform developed and deployed at scale.

Proven ability to understand business and ability to contribute to technology direction that drives measurable business improvements.

Excellent decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills.

Demonstrated capabilities in assessing business needs while providing creative and effective solutions in conformance to emerging technology standards.
