F5, Inc. seeks Software Engineer III in San Jose, CA:

Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Exercise senior level knowledge in selecting engineering methods and techniques to design, implement, modify, and support SSL orchestrator component for BIG IP product to meet user or system specifications. Work on problems of complex scope where analysis of solution requires evaluation of multiple factors of overall product. Analyze and synthesize a variety of use cases to create a robust software with highly useful features for customers. Develop prototype/mockups to socialize the business requirements and solutions with all the stakeholders. Develop highly scalable, secure, and efficient software. Working with Senior and Principal Software Engineers and Architects, collect and analyze requirements from Product Owners. In an Agile/SCRUM(SAFe) environment, develop, define and write code to implement algorithms to develop software application features in compliance with business requirements. Write unit test cases and test code validity. Perform bug fixes by analyzing discrepancies that are found by the Quality Assurance team. Deploy software code for automated testing. Develop code for review/correction by senior level engineers, and produce production-ready code. Design, code, test and maintain assigned software deliverables, and represent the customer perspective during software development activities. Contribute to the improvement of product development methods and tools. Telecommuting is an option.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in the field of software engineering/program analysis, or one (1) year of experience in the job offered.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) Node.js; (2) JavaScript; (3) Java; (4) Shell Scripting; (5) PL/SQL; (6) Unix; (7) Oracle; (8) Eclipse; (9) Python; and (10) CSS. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option.

Salary: $184,662.00 - $211,364.00 per annum.
