Mechanic / Equipment Manager Underground Utilities Construction

Our Client, a well-established underground utility construction company, is seeking a professional, detail oriented, and organized individual to oversee all scheduling and production aspects of their busy heavy equipment shop and the team of four+ mechanics.

The Mechanic / Equipment Managers responsibilities will include:

Administrative duties, assignment scheduling, equipment and maintenance tracking, mechanic supervision and evaluation of the equipment repair processes.

Qualifications and Duties:

Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks is required

Evaluate the performance of existing company Mechanics and of the companys equipment repair procedures

Previous administrative experience working directly with, inventory control, parts and supply orders, and service and staff scheduling is required

Responsible for inventory control & part orders; work with vendors to manage inventory & cost

Build and maintain relationships with staff and upper management, working to improve the level of service by ensuring that organizational service and budget targets are met

Travel with company mechanics to project location will be required at times
