Job Title: Senior Software Engineer/Developer

Position Description:



Designs and develops 12 factor compliant Cloud ready software applications, using Java, Spring Framework, and relational database (Oracle) according to Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration/Delivery, and DevOps. Develops cloud-ready next generation pricing platforms and deploys into Amazon Web Services (AWS) or internal Cloud systems. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.



Primary Responsibilities:



Develops original and creative technical solutions to ongoing development efforts.
Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.
Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.
Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.
Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.
Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.
Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.
Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.
Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.
Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.


Education and Experience:



Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing 12 factors compliant Cloud ready Spring Boot financial applications within a Fund Accounting domain.



Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) developing 12 factors compliant Cloud ready Spring Boot financial applications within a Fund Accounting domain.



Skills and Knowledge:



Candidate must also possess:



Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) configuring FIS InvestOne products to ensure completion of InvestOne core cycle orchestration using DataLink, Enterprise, and jet.engine.


DE performing disaster recovery flows and scheduling (using Control-M and HPOO), logging (using Kibana and Datadog), automation (using Fitnesse), version control (using Git), Continuous Integration and Delivery (using Jenkins), and performance evaluations (using Dynatrace).


DE analyzing business requirements for designing and developing RESTful Web Services to support OAuth based authentication (per security standards), using Java/J2EE Spring, Spring Batch, MyBatis, REST, Apache Camel, and Lombok; performing GUI design using Angular JS, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and Maven.


DE creating and configuring EC2 instances, EFS, Kubernetes (AKS and EKS), and public Cloud automation using AWS/Azure DevOps, ARM or CFT templates; automating Helm Chart, Yaml, and JSON processes using Artifactory, Bitbucket, or Docker.
