Position Description:



***Applicants are permitted to work remotely from an at-home work site anywhere in the United States.***



Conducts test automations using technical tools -- Junit, Cucumber, Mockito, and Easy Mock. Develops, deploys, and maintains software applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline tools -- Jenkins, Stash, and Git. Develops innovative proofs of concept for financial solutions by using cutting edge technologies -- blockchain, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality (AR/VR), and video-games. Crafts products, draws product sketches, resolves product dimensions, and builds mockups of proposed software applications. Analyzes information to determine, recommend, and plan computer software specifications on major projects and proposes modifications and improvements based on user need. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications.



Primary Responsibilities:



·Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts.

·Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.

·Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives.

·Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.

·Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.

·Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.

·Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.

·Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.

·Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.

·Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives.



Education and Experience:



Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and implementing Web applications, Application Programming Interface (APIs), and databases in financial services environment using Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Azure.



Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) designing and implementing Web applications, Application Programming Interface (APIs), and databases in financial services environment using Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Azure.



Skills and Knowledge:



Candidate must also possess:



·Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing and developing responsive client-side applications, using JavaScript MVC frameworks (Angular, React), client-side technologies (HTML5, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), and Integrated Development Environment (IDE).

·DE defining and architecting Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) infrastructure using Docker and Jenkins with corresponding automated testing of business capabilities; defining and creating the build and deployment pipeline architecture with Cloud Formation Templates for Cloud native applications using container orchestration engines (AWS ECS, AWS EKS, and Azure AKS).

· DE designing and architecting highly scalable Web applications, APIs, and databases to enable development teams to build applications and systems using Java, open-source frameworks (Springboot, Spring MVC), Integration (Apache Camel), and event streaming frameworks (Kafka).
