Tommy John, Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to work with cross-functional teams to analyze data trends that directly impact our business.

Job responsibilities and duties include:

• Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing (ad-hoc and recurring) reports;
• Device methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available information sources;
• Perform deep dive analysis/data mining on various and frequently ad-hoc business topics;
• Synthesize current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action;
• Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs;
• Identify revenue generating (or substantial cost cutting) opportunities for various cross-functional teams, including Operations, Merchandising, Marketing, and E-commerce teams;
• Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources;
• Analyze competitive market strategies through analysis of related product, market, or share trends;
• Identify and develop scalable and replicable processes for data analysis on AWS;
• Collect, organize, develop insights, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy;
• Create or review technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development of reporting solutions;
• Analyze technology trends to identify markets for future product development or to improve sales of existing products;
• Utilize experience using SQL and BI platforms and analytics tools.

This position does not manage any other personnel.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems or related field, plus at least two (2) years in the job offered or as a Systems Engineer, Software Engineer, Data Analyst or in any related occupation.

Qualified applicants must also have demonstrable proficiency, skill, experience, and knowledge with the following:

1. SQL
2. Looker or Tableau
3. Basic Data Modeling including: DBT, Talend or Alteryx
4. Data Science and Statistical Analysis techniques
5. Big Data Technologies like Hadoop, Redis
6. Development skills including: R programming, Python, Machine Learning, GitHub
7. Data Visualization Tools: D3.js, Google Charts
8. Cloud Services: AWS Lambda, AWS Redshift

No travel. WFH Hybrid 3/2 Schedule.

Minimum Requirements:

No travel; no telecommuting. Job duties are project-based and performed on long-term assignments at various unanticipated sites within the U.S. which may require relocation at the end of each project.
