F5, Inc. seeks Manager - F5 BIG-IP Next in Seattle, WA:

Job Duties: Manage a team of hardworking Software Engineers building solutions for F5's core data-plane engine. Source, interview, hire and mentor Software Engineers at different levels of experience. Lead, based on your experience, in architecture, code and testing patterns. Lead and execute Project plans and deliver commitments within a professional, dynamic Agile engineering environment. Architect, design and develop software solutions for systems and systems management components using C, C++ and Shell for F5’s application delivery networking products to work on high-speed network virtualization for F5’s cloud-based services for large-scaled, dynamic data centers. Analyze high-level requirements and write detailed, design documents to meet requirements and drive product implementations. Evaluate and review new technologies on their applicability to product architecture and design. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering (any field), or closely related quantitative discipline, and two (2) years of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements: (1) C or C++; (2) Shell programming; (3) OS Kernel; (4) Cloud technologies: KVM, Xen, or AWS; (5) Network virtualization; (6) Data structure and algorithm; (7) Object oriented programming; (8) Linux Systems or Hypervisor; (9) Distributed systems; and (10) Software version control systems and debugging tools. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.
