Job Description:

As a Java or .NET Core Developer at Crust Africa, you will be responsible for designing,

Developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications. You will work closely with our

Cross-functional team of software engineers, architects, and DevOps experts to deliver

High-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain Java or .NET Core applications, ensuring high performance and

Reliability.

2. Design, implement, and optimize web APIs that are used by various applications.

3. Work with databases, write SQL queries, and optimize database performance.

4. Develop T-SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database functions to support application requirements.

5. Collaborate with team members to design and implement orchestration solutions.

6. Containerize applications using Docker and manage them with Kubernetes.

7. Design and develop microservices architecture to enhance scalability and maintainability.

8. Implement message queues and related technologies for asynchronous communication.

9. Perform unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.

10. Utilize an in-depth understanding of data structures and software engineering principles in

Application development.

11. Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth deployment and continuous integration.

12. Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in Java or .NET development.

13. Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance when needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

2. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Java or .NET Core development.

3. Proficiency in web API development and RESTful services.

4. Strong expertise in working with databases and SQL, including T-SQL.

5. Experience in writing and optimizing stored procedures and database functions.

6. Familiarity with orchestration, Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.

7. Knowledge of message queues and related technologies.

8. Solid understanding of software development best practices.

9. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.

10. Strong communication and collaboration skills.

11. Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
