Position: CAD & PLM Administrator
Location: Bremerton, WA 98314 USA
Per government and federal regulations client is only looking for US Citizens or Green Card holders at this time. Willing to help US Based candidates with relocation assists.
JOB SUMMARY:
Develop, maintain, and promote compliance with data and work process standards for the operation of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems. Work closely with all internal business units to ensure that data systems provide timely accurate information to all team members. Promote team member engagement and use of data systems thru training and development of tools and workflows that effectively collect and communicate input from throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Functional support for the enhancement, development, implementation, migration, and upgrade of CAD and PLM systems
- Support users in the application of CAD software and the proper use of the CAD file management and associated workflows
- Work with business development, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and provide support to structure new products and document product changes as part of the product development, continuous improvement, and engineering processes
- Own and manage complex change workflows
- Manages enterprise change process and facilitates Enterprise Change Board meetings
- Provide expert knowledge of CAD and BOM data structure and data management
- Manage CAD / PLM Vault system.
- Perform business process analysis and best practices application to develop workflows and reporting
- Identify business needs and propose solutions to meet them, including analyzing solutions based on software capability
- Perform end user training and serve as a mentor and/or trainer for the staff
- Create documentation and training guidelines
- Develop strategies for data migration and/or integration with legacy platforms and data sets
- Review license usage and needs to support all users
- Work closely with IT department planning and executing customizations to PLM and CAD vaults.

- Ability to effectively lead/facilitate teams and ability to quickly grasp technical issues/concepts

- Solid Edge 2020
- Knowledge of MySQL Databases and Database studio
- Aras Innovator
- SQL, AML or both
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any Engineering or related field
- Two years of experience in CAD and PLM system implementation and administration
- Five years of experience in product development using a 3D CAD system. Solid Edge preferred
- Experience managing multi-level BOMs for complex products
- Aras Innovator experience. Managing CAD and BOMs through Aras a plus.
- Aras Implementation or customization desired.
