The On-Site six figure Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a crucial role in optimizing our sourcing processes and driving value engineering initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of our products in the market. The ideal candidate has a strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and project management, with a proven track record of implementing successful VA/VE initiatives.


What you are doing as a Strategic Sourcing Manager:



  • Lead workshops to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and performance enhancement across product lines.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to implement VA/VE recommendations effectively.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize product designs, materials, and manufacturing processes while maintaining product integrity and customer satisfaction.

  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, and capability to support VA/VE objectives.

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and performance improvements while ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.

  • Monitor supplier performance metrics, including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness, to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Address supplier issues and challenges proactively, working closely with internal stakeholders to resolve issues and mitigate risks.

  • Conduct regular supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and quality standards.

  • Analyze cost drivers and trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement.

  • Prepare and present regular reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting the impact of VA/VE initiatives on the company's bottom line and competitive position.


What you need as Strategic Sourcing Manager:



  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field is required.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with a focus on value analysis/engineering.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading VA/VE initiatives and achieving significant cost savings and performance improvements.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive cross-functional collaboration.

  • Knowledge of quality management systems, lean manufacturing principles, and supplier development methodologies.

  • Ability to travel 25% plus in your first year to customer sites.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and ERP systems; experience with supply chain management software is a plus.
