The MAC Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our macOS environment. Responsibilities will span across scripting, device management, and using tools like Jamf, and ensuring the security and efficiency of our Mac Systems. Responsibilities of macOS Engineer Scripting and Automation: Develop and implement advanced scripts (Python / Bash) to automate tasks and streamline Mac System Processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions that enhance overall efficiency and user experience. Jamf Management: Utilize your expertise in Jamf Pro to deploy, configure, and manage Mac devices within the organization. Stay updated on the latest Jamf and Apple features and best practices to optimize device management processes. Security and Networking: Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of Mac systems. Manage and maintain the deployment of network configurations to ensure optimal performance, connectivity, and user experience. Technical Support: Provide technical support to end-users, addressing Mac-related issues promptly and effectively. Collaborate with other levels of the team to develop user-friendly guides, workflows, and documentation. System Optimization: Implement strategies for efficient Mac system management in a Windows-dominated environment. Work toward continuous improvement, identifying and implementing optimizations for better performance and user experience. Collaboration: Understand the needs of IT and other departments to tailor Mac solutions to meet specific requirements. Participate in cross-functional projects involving Mac System integration and collaboration with diverse technologies. User Authentication and Identity Management: Enhance existing identity management framework using Azure AD. Implement and improve single sign-on solutions. Qualifications 3-5 years of proven experience as a Mac Engineer with expertise in scripting (Bash / Python), Jamf, and system optimization. Strong understanding of macOS, certificates, networking, and security principles. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and in group settings. Familiarity with integrating Mac systems with Azure Active Directory for identity and access management. Knowledge of working with products like Microsoft Defender, Jamf Protect, Jamf Connect, O365 suite, Zscaler, Cisco Secure, Citrix Workspace, and Jamf ADCS (Active Directory Certificate Service Experience in hardware procurement and hardware lifecycle management.
