Job Title: Continuous Improvement Engineer
Location: Waterloo, Iowa
Salary: $75-95K plus bonus
Job Summary of the Continuous Improvement Engineer: We are looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Engineer for our team. This role will serve as a subject matter expert to lead the implementation and Lean processes. This CI Engineer will serve as a technical resource for our leadership team to consult for guidance and assistance with lean-related concerns.
Qualifications of Continuous Improvement Engineer:
Identify and leverage best practices in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement-related processes.
Assist in development and identify opportunities for improvement across the organization.
Evaluate and interpret both industry requirements and internal Quality Management Systems (QMS) requirements with the goal of developing robust procedures and instructions.
Help the site Quality teams and/or senior Quality leadership as subject matter expert to investigate and correct quality issues and establish continuous improvement opportunities.
Lead and facilitate projects generated from our High-Performance Team Board process.
Lead and facilitate installation and implementation of ISO-9001 quality management systems.
Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Engineer:
Engineering degree is required. Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering experience
New Grad 5+ years experience.
Expertise in ISO-9000 and internal auditing
CORE, Lean, or Six-Sigma experience
Support manufacturing, product, and/or customer quality processes to implement process improvements.
Utilize knowledge and expertise to provide input and influence the development, application, and maintenance of prevention, root cause corrective action, quality control systems, and protocols.
Facilitate, communicate, and visualize process flow for stakeholders and teams.
Builds relationships with various levels of leadership and individual contributors and influences culture by leveraging change management skills.
Implement projects using demonstrated proactive project management skills and risk mitigation techniques.
Design and deliver solutions that meet organizational needs and bring value to the organization.
Lead efforts and development with minimal oversight, set objectives and guide others on execution/approach for achievement of operational results.
10% travel
Engineering degree required.
Communicates with and to all levels of the organization clear and concise objectives, identifies and share risks and opportunities, ability to create value statement
