Job Title: Software Engineer

Location: 1701 Platte St, STE 210, Denver, CO 80202 *May work remotely from anywhere in the US.

Salary: $160,000 and Standard Benefits.



Duties:

Execute our technical vision and roadmap that align development activities and projects with company and team goals. Participate in all product development activities from ideation to delivery. Participate in software design, acting as an agent of change to provide out-of-the-box thinking. Coordinate installation of software system. Design, develop and modify software systems. Determine system performance standards. Collaborate with team members to break big problems into smaller ones and iterate for success. Engage in software delivery via a continuously improving development process, creating a highly predictable software delivery machine. Develop or direct software system testing or validation procedures, programming, or documentation. Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt it to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. Lead with extreme ownership over your work, inspiring accountability within the team. Provide training and mentorship, passionately developing the skills and talents of others. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Help to attract top-notch talent to join our existing team of experienced engineers. Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications. Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements. *May work remotely from anywhere in the US.

Requirements:

Master’s degree* (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related; 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Designer, or a related position, which must include: Utilizing Java and Javascript, relational databases and/or related technologies in Linux, Unix or related sophisticated platform or operating system in an Agile environment. Develop REST APIs (application programming interfaces) in Node.js environment. Building and maintaining highly availability, fault-tolerant, and distributed services, including familiarity with technologies and architecture like microservices and AWS. Solid foundations, including refactoring, unit testing, test-driven development, test automation, and continuous delivery.

*Will accept a Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience, including experience above, in lieu of a Master’s degree.
