Engineer 3, Software Development & Engineering

Contribute to the team responsible for network site planning, equipment deployment planning, deployment managing and basic design of network instances, scripts, automation, and alerting using Python; ingest and export data using REST and SOAP APIs; manage MySQL and MongoDB databases; use VueJS for front-end software development; use Django for web development; perform network programming using Python; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; build Network Capacity modelling tools to plan network capacity builds; build toolsets to drive proactive network alerting systems around configuration issues and capacity heatmaps; support the build of a stable hardware infrastructure to ensure high availability of engineering tools; complete network deployment, manage contract teams in deployment, and provision and support wireless, Ethernet transport region networks; respond to network incidents and determine resources needed for resolution; develop practices and procedures for network installation, maintenance, and operation; develop and implement test and acceptance criteria for network requirements; schedule equipment activations; contribute to incident management, site design, network configuration, and network activation; develop and maintain network element documentation and inventory; and order, track, and report all internal and external wired and wireless connection activation activities. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

***REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing software using MySQL, PHP, REST API, SOAP API, JSON, and JQuery; ingesting and exporting data using REST and SOAP APIs; and managing MySQL database; of which one (1) year includes using VueJS, React, or any other front-end software development language for front-end software development; and using Django, Drupal, or any other web development language for web development.
