ROLE DESCRIPTION
The organization seeks a Director of AI and Analytics Solutions to serve as the senior leader for the U.S./Americas. This role is responsible for leading the strategy, delivery, operational performance, and continued growth of the company's eDiscovery, managed review, legal technology, forensic collection, data analytics, and client data solution offerings across the Americas.
The Senior Director of AI and Analytics Solutions - Americas partners closely with affiliate law firm attorneys, the company leadership, clients, internal stakeholders, and external service providers to design, deliver, and continuously improve practical, defensible, scalable, and commercially sound solutions for litigation, investigations, regulatory matters, transactions, and other client data challenges.
This role combines technical fluency, legal service delivery experience, commercial judgment, people leadership, and client-facing advisory capability. The successful candidate will be accountable for team utilization, revenue contribution, cost management, service quality, risk mitigation, legal technology adoption, and the development of repeatable workflows and playbooks that support the company's growth and the firm's client service objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute the strategic direction for AI and analytics services in the Americas, aligned with the company's business objectives and the affiliated law firms client service priorities.
Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team that may include project managers, TAR and analytics specialists, managed review professionals, forensic collection resources, and document review teams.
Oversee the delivery of eDiscovery, managed review, document review, data analytics, TAR/CAL, AI-enabled workflows, forensic collection, hosting, reporting, and related client data services.
Drive operational and financial performance, including team utilization, billable performance, revenue contribution, pricing discipline, budget management, cost control, and profitability.
Build, expand, and mature the managed review service line, including staffing models, workflows, quality control processes, reporting, escalation protocols, and client-facing deliverables.
Partner with attorneys, clients, and business development stakeholders to scope matters, recommend legal technology solutions, support proposals, conduct demonstrations, and promote adoption of the company tools and services.
Establish, maintain, and improve repeatable workflows, playbooks, templates, reporting packages, and operating procedures across AI and analytics matters.
Manage relationships with external vendors, including service-level expectations, pricing, quality control, contract support, and performance management.
Identify and mitigate operational, technical, confidentiality, data privacy, information security, and client delivery risks associated with AI and Analytics services.
Support onsite and remote collection workflows, including coordination, chain-of-custody expectations, secure data transfer, and defensible handling of client information.
Provide executive-level reporting on workload, capacity, utilization, matter status, service performance, revenue, risk, and other key metrics.
Collaborate with the company colleagues across regions to promote consistency, knowledge sharing, innovation, and scalable service delivery.
Maintain current knowledge of legal technology, eDiscovery platforms, AI-enabled review tools, information governance, data privacy, and emerging client data challenges.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the company leadership.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Significant experience in eDiscovery, litigation support, legal technology, managed review, forensic collection, information governance, or client data solutions, preferably in a law firm, legal technology company, professional services firm, or corporate legal environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing legal technology, eDiscovery, managed review, or client service delivery teams.
Strong understanding of the EDRM lifecycle, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, hosting, review, analytics, production, and reporting.
Practical experience with document review workflows, TAR/CAL, analytics, AI-assisted review, quality control, privilege review, redaction workflows, and production protocols.
Proven ability to manage revenue, utilization, budgets, pricing, vendor spend, staffing, and service delivery performance.
Experience advising attorneys, clients, and senior stakeholders on technology-enabled solutions for litigation, investigations, regulatory matters, transactions, and complex data challenges.
Strong vendor management experience, including pricing, service-level management, escalation handling, quality review, and cost containment.
Ability to translate complex technical and operational concepts into clear, practical guidance for legal, business, and client audiences.
Strong project management, reporting, workflow design, process improvement, and operational risk management skills.
Familiarity with confidentiality, data privacy, information security, chain-of-custody, and professional responsibility considerations relevant to legal service delivery.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication, client presentations, internal reporting, and proposal support.
Ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and support urgent client or matter needs.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required.
OTHER PREFERRED SKILLS
Experience with Relativity, RelativityOne, TAR/CAL workflows, analytics, managed review platforms, forensic collection tools, data transfer tools, and legal technology platforms.
Experience developing or scaling a managed review, litigation support, legal technology, or client data services business line.
Experience creating dashboards, KPI reporting, matter-level reporting, utilization tracking, and financial performance reporting.
Familiarity with AI-enabled legal technology, contract analysis tools, workflow automation, Power BI, Microsoft 365, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and related reporting tools.
Experience conducting legal technology demonstrations, training attorneys or clients, and supporting adoption of new tools and workflows.
Strong commercial judgment and ability to support pricing, proposals, client pitches, and matter scoping.
Experience working across multiple offices, regions, practice groups, vendors, and stakeholder groups.
Relevant certifications or training in eDiscovery, Relativity, project management, information governance, privacy, cybersecurity, or forensic collection are a plus.
Positive, collaborative, practical, and client-service-oriented approach.
OTHER DETAILS
This is a full-time, exempt role based in the United States.
For candidates residing within a reasonable commuting distance of an office location, a hybrid schedule of one to two days per week in-office may be preferred.
Core working hours are Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to support urgent client needs, litigation deadlines, investigations, cross-border matters, onsite collections, internal leadership meetings, and other business-critical work.
Occasional travel may be required for client meetings, onsite collections, internal meetings, team leadership, business development, vendor meetings, or other matter-specific needs.
