CNC Programmer / Machinist (Mills) Location: US-PA-Montgomeryville Jobcode: cmk4w0 Email Job

We are seeking a highly skilled, autonomous CNC Programmer / Machinist for a first-shift position (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) in Montgomeryville, PA.
This is a low-volume, high-mix, precision contract environment. If you thrive on technical variety, engineering custom parts for multiple industries, and changing setups frequently to meet tight tolerances, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Plan & Program: Review work orders, blueprints, and GD&T specifications. Program mills using CAM software (developing, proving, and editing part programs).
Setup & Tooling: Independently set up 3- and 4-jaw chucks, collets, vices, and fixtures. Design and produce custom fixturing as needed for unique runs.
Execute & Verify: Run first-article parts, perform precision measurements, adhere to manufacturing travelers, and complete quality sign-offs.
Optimize & Maintain: Troubleshoot machining processes, adjust/reprogram controls on-machine, sharpen/replace worn tools, and perform preventive maintenance.
Job Requirements (Filters)
Must Have (Non-Negotiable)
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience strictly within a precision CNC job shop or contract machining environment.
Environment Match: Proven track record handling low-volume, high-mix production with frequent setup changes and tight tolerances for multiple external customers.
Autonomy: Ability to complete the entire cycle independently: interpret prints $ rightarrow$ CAM programming $ rightarrow$ setup machines $ rightarrow$ troubleshoot $ rightarrow$ final machining and inspection.
Technical Skills: Expert-level CAM programming (any software) and advanced blueprint reading (GD&T).
Availability: Ability to work overtime as required to meet delivery dates.
Logistics: Must be local to the Montgomeryville/Bucks/Montgomery County area (or within a reasonable daily commute). No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship available.
Do NOT Apply If Your Experience Is Primarily:
Repetitive, high-volume manufacturing lines with limited setup variation.
Machining internal/captive products for a single company's own catalog.
Pure programming (office-based) without heavy, recent hands-on machining and setup experience.
Nice to Have (Plus)
Experience in adjacent precision fields: aerospace, medical device machining, or mold & die toolrooms.
Formal vocational certificates, CNC coursework, or technical associate degrees.
Track record of stability (e.g., 3+ years in recent roles).
