Respite Care Provider – Life Skills Development
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable individual to provide respite care for a bright and energetic young girl with autism and ADHD. This part-time role offers more than supervision—it is a meaningful opportunity to mentor, support, and empower her as she gains confidence, independence, and essential daily living skills.
As a Respite Care Provider, you will work with her in the home and during occasional community outings, helping guide structured routines and hands-on activities that promote learning in a safe, nurturing environment.

Location
• Care provided in the child’s home and during local community outings
Compensation
• $18.42/hour
Schedule
• Flexible, arranged in advance with the parent/guardian

Key Responsibilities
• Provide 1:1 supervision in a safe and encouraging environment
• Teach and assist with daily living skills, including light hygiene reminders, meal preparation, and simple household tasks
• Support her independence using positive reinforcement and step-by-step instruction
• Encourage social-emotional development through structured play and consistent routines
• Maintain open, ongoing communication with the family to share progress, insights, and recommendations

Ideal Provider
• Experience supporting children with disabilities or neurodiverse needs (autism and/or ADHD preferred)
• Patient, empathetic, and consistent, with strong interpersonal skills
• Able to follow and adapt to an individualized care plan
• Comfortable teaching life skills using clear, structured, and supportive methods
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Requirements
• Must pass a caregiver background check
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Genuine passion for mentoring youth and making a meaningful impact
