Medical Assistant Ambulatory - Dermatology - Certified or Non-CertifiedWe're seeking a caring, responsible, and empathetic Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) who will be involved in assisting with patient care for all ages in an ambulatory setting. The Medical Assistant will be an advocate for the patient's needs by collaborating with both the patient and their care team to ensure that the patient is comfortable throughout their healthcare journey at Sanford. As a Medical Assistant, you can look forward to creating strong bonds with your patients and co-workers and have multiple opportunities for growth and development.Responsibilities include collecting subjective and objective health status data from the patient or caregiver and communicating data to healthcare provider; following through on the patient's plan of care under the direction of the provider; communicating the provider's written instructions for care to the patient, or caregiver; participating in care for patients, across the lifespan, in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, treatment, and follow-up as patients move in and out of care settings; obtaining vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, observing and reporting patient's signs or symptoms, and performing point of care testing.Qualifications include being a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program, prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred, nationally certified or registered as a Medical Assistant (MA), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within six months of employment.
