Job DescriptionJob Description Looking for a lab assignment where your expertise truly stands out? If you're an experienced Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) who thrives in an independent work environment, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a critical access hospital on California's beautiful Mendocino Coast. You'll play a key role as the primary weekend CLS, performing complex laboratory testing across multiple disciplines while enjoying one of the most scenic coastal locations in California.

What You'll Need Active California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) License Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, or related field Minimum 5 years of recent Clinical Laboratory Scientist experience Strong experience in: Microbiology Blood Bank Hematology Chemistry Coagulation Urinalysis
Ability to work independently Recent Epic experience ASCP Certification preferred Phlebotomy experience is not required
What You'll Do Perform high-complexity laboratory testing across multiple departments Analyze and verify laboratory results for accuracy and quality Perform testing in microbiology, blood bank, hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis Troubleshoot laboratory instruments and perform quality control procedures Communicate critical laboratory values promptly to providers Maintain laboratory documentation and regulatory compliance Support laboratory operations while working independently during weekend shifts
