City Surveyor The City Surveyor leads and performs professional land surveying services essential to the planning, design, and construction of public infrastructure. This position manages all surveying functions for the Department, ensures the accuracy and integrity of survey data, and provides expert technical support to engineering and project management staff to support the successful delivery of public works projects for the City of Wausau. This position offers the opportunity to play a key role in shaping and supporting the City's infrastructure projects, from initial planning through construction. The City Surveyor works both in the field and in the office, collaborating closely with engineering staff, contractors, and the community. The typical schedule is 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Starting hourly rate of $31.56 or higher depending on qualifications.
