Cyber Security Administrator Remote Location: US-CO-Denver Email Job

Job Title: Cyber Security Administrator - Remote Duration (Contract): 10 Months Client Location: Denver, CO 80203 Location Preference: Remote Job Description: As a Cyber Security Administrator, you will provide network security administration and infrastructure protection services to support secure, compliant, and modern enterprise environments. This role focuses on firewall management, security operations, infrastructure modernization, compliance adherence, and incident response while supporting critical networking and cybersecurity initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Review, process, and implement firewall service requests, change requests, and break-fix activities.
- Administer and maintain Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewall environments.
- Configure and manage firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN connectivity, and security zones.
- Support infrastructure modernization initiatives, including hardware refresh and end-of-life equipment replacement.
- Implement security controls to maintain compliance with regulatory and security standards.
- Troubleshoot network security issues and perform technical problem resolution.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours support during maintenance windows or security incidents.
- Manage network security changes and document configurations according to operational standards.
- Monitor and maintain secure network operations across enterprise environments.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and security teams to support ongoing technology initiatives.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies: - Experience administering Palo Alto Next-Generation Firewalls, including security policies, VPNs, NAT, zones, and threat prevention features.
- Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Cisco ASA firewalls.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including routing, subnetting, TCP/IP, and the OSI model.
- Experience supporting firewall change management, security requests, and operational support activities.
- Knowledge of enterprise network security concepts and best practices.
- Experience maintaining compliance with security and regulatory requirements in controlled environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to support infrastructure modernization and hardware lifecycle management initiatives.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to participate in on-call support rotations and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry. cyberThink is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
