Key Responsibilities- Conduct assessment interviews and evaluate client needs, developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual circumstances.
- Provide counseling and therapy sessions to clients through telemedicine, ensuring privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Utilize clinical skills to assess and diagnose various mental health conditions and substance use disorders, employing a strengths-based approach.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to integrate services and ensure continuity of care for clients, including consultations with psychologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic interventions addressing issues such as family dynamics, behavioral challenges, and personal development.
- Maintain detailed client records, progress notes, and treatment evaluations within our electronic health record system to provide necessary data for quality improvement initiatives.
Patient Population / Client FocusIn this role, you will work primarily with adults navigating a range of mental health issues, which may include depression, anxiety, trauma, and severe stress, as well as those facing challenges related to substance abuse. Your empathetic approach will empower clients to explore their difficulties and engage in the healing process, promoting enhanced well-being and improved quality of life. Qualifications- A current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon is mandatory.
- A Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
- At least two years of practical experience in the mental health field, demonstrating the ability to manage diverse client demographics.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a commitment to fostering trusting relationships with clients.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a creative, flexible approach to delivering therapeutic interventions.
Preferred ExperienceExperience in a hospice setting or with end-of-life care counseling is a plus. Those who have familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) will find themselves well-suited for this role. Additionally, proficiency in electronic health record systems will enhance your efficacy in maintaining client documentation.
