Procurement Specialist (Long Island City, New York): Purchase electrical materials, equipment, and components at the lowest possible price and in the correct quantities for active construction projects under senior management supervision. Assist in writing and reviewing procurement specifications for electrical components and equipment, maintaining technical knowledge of goods purchased to ensure vendor compliance. Review vendor invoices, financial reports, and technical data sheets for electrical materials and components to verify pricing accuracy and conformance with procurement specifications against established guidelines. Evaluate suppliers based on established criteria including price, quality, technical manufacturing capability, electrical performance specifications, reliability, and production capacity. Monitor changes in supply and demand for electrical materials, components, and equipment, tracking market conditions, price trends, and supply chain risks.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field and 1 year of experience as Procurement Specialist, Electrical Estimator, Electrical Purchasing Agent, or related role. Experience analyzing construction project plans to determine electrical work scope. Experience reading electrical drawings and technical specifications. Experience reviewing material and equipment specifications for engineering and construction requirements. Experience evaluating electrical materials and components for project suitability. Salary is $60,819 annually.
