Roofing Membrane (ETFE) Installer (Harness / Working at Height) - $1,000/week

Location: Wisconsin Dells, WI (Wilderness Resort indoor water park renovation)

Local Hires: This project DOES NOT provide lodging or travel reimbursement

Project Dates: Started Aug 24 and estimated completion Oct 9

Schedule: M-F (7am to 3:30pm) and Saturdays as needed.

Pay: $25$27/hour (based on experience)

Work Type: Seasonal/temporary construction role (outdoor work at height; project-based)

About the Project

Join a commercial construction team performing complete ETFE roofing system replacement on an indoor water park roof in Wisconsin Dells. The water park will be closed to the public for approximately seven weeks, allowing crews to work in full access areas while multiple trades operate simultaneously. Training will be provided for the removal of existing hardware and the installation of the new ETFE system. This is a great opportunity to learn practical experience with a growing trend in roofing systems.

What Youll Be Doing

Youll support the wave pool roof replacement by working on ETFE roof refurbishment and related support infrastructure, including:

  • Removing and replacing ETFE roofing components
  • Removing aluminum caps, flashing, extrusion components, upstands, lag bolts, hardware, seals, and related waterproofing
  • Installing new upstands and lag bolts/hardware
  • Drilling pilot holes, layout verification, and structural repair prep
  • Reinstalling cleaned aluminum extrusions with new expansion tape and waterproofing/base seals
  • Installing new ETFE cushions, including proper inflation/inspection steps
  • Performing work using fall protection systems and established roof access procedures
  • Working in coordinated crews while maintaining housekeeping, safety, and communication across trades

Work Environment / Safety Expectations

  • Work will be performed at heights roughly 40100+ feet
  • You must be comfortable working while harnessed in lifts and/or on scaffolding
  • You will follow the site safety plan, including fall protection and roof anchor systems
  • Potential for outdoor work in inclement weather
  • OSHA 10/30 is a plus (and certifications must be up to date)

Qualifications

Required / Strongly Preferred:

  • Commercial construction experience
  • Ability to safely work at height (40100+ feet)
  • Knowledge of fall protection equipment and safe work practices
  • Experience working with boom lifts (MEWPs) and/or scissor lifts
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools
  • Ability to read and follow directions from supervisors
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs. and performing demanding work throughout the day
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, punctuality
  • Available Saturdays during the project window
  • Up-to-date safety certifications

Nice to Have (priority skills):

  • Rope access / roofing / glazing / ironworker / structural steel experience
  • Forklift operation experience
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • Roofing/glazing/structural experience that aligns with ETFE glazing-style roof systems

  • Start: Aug 24
  • Expected Completion: Oct 9
  • Availability: M-F (7-3:30) Must be able to work Saturdays as needed

Compensation

  • $25$27/hour depending on experience
