We are seeking an experienced INDEX CNC Machinist for a 2nd-shift position within a precision manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience setting up and operating INDEX CNC turning machines, preferably INDEX C100 and/or C200 equipment(link removed)>

This position requires a machinist who can independently perform setups, tooling changes, offset adjustments, minor program edits, inspections, and troubleshooting while consistently producing precision components to tight tolerances.

• Set up and operate INDEX CNC machines, including INDEX C100 and C200 equipment.

• Perform complete machine setups according to blueprints, work instructions, and production requirements.

• Install and change cutting tools, inserts, collets, fixtures, and other tooling.

• Set and adjust tool offsets and work offsets.

• Make minor CNC program edits and adjustments at the machine when necessary.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications.

• Manufacture precision components while maintaining tight tolerances.

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections.

• Use precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.

• Monitor tooling condition, machine performance, cycle times, and part quality.

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, dimensional, and setup-related problems.

• Replace worn tooling and make necessary adjustments to maintain specifications.

• Complete required production and quality documentation.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Follow established safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.

• Previous experience as an INDEX CNC Machinist, CNC Setup Machinist, or CNC Turning Machinist(link removed)>

• Hands-on experience with INDEX CNC equipment strongly preferred(link removed)>

• Experience with INDEX C100 and/or INDEX C200 machines highly desirable(link removed)>

• Strong CNC setup experience required.

• Ability to independently perform tooling changes and offset adjustments.

• Ability to make minor CNC program edits at the machine.

• Strong blueprint-reading and dimensional inspection skills.

• Knowledge of machining tolerances, tooling, feeds, and speeds.

• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during 2nd-shift operations.

• Experience in precision manufacturing, aerospace, defense, connector, or other high-tolerance manufacturing environments is a plus.

The ideal candidate is a true INDEX setup machinist who can take ownership of their machine and work independently during 2nd shift. This individual should be comfortable completing setups, changing tooling, adjusting offsets, troubleshooting machining issues, inspecting finished parts, and maintaining production while meeting strict quality standards.
