$35.04 - $56.07 Hourly $72,885 - $116,616 Annually This position is a Pay Band 85 THIS POSTING WILL BE USED FOR ONGOING RECRUITMENT AND MAY CLOSE AT ANY TIME. APPLICANT LISTS MAY BE SCREENED MORE THAN ONCE. This positions functions as the Financial Asset Manager for the Administrative Services Division. This position maintains the financial accounting records for fixed assets, reports on these resources on behalf of the General Services Department (GSD) and manages assets assigned to GSD. This position will work closely with leadership to establish fixed asset accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures, as promulgated by State statutes, New Mexico Administrative Code, GAAP, and Governmental Accounting Standards Board. This is a high level strategic planning and risk management position with responsibility for developing and implementing a comprehensive program to manage the Departments key fixed assets, maximizing value and minimizing risk. This includes identification and evaluation of fixed assets, such as facilities, land, maintenance equipment, vehicles, etc. The position will need to establish and maintain an inclusive fixed asset inventory that coordinates multi-department holdings. The position will also be responsible for development and implementation of fixed asset capital and operations and maintenance plan, instituting related policies and procedures and generally planning for present and future needs regarding assets and associated performance. The Asset Manager will develop and implement optimal asset intervention strategies appropriate to asset type (e.g. vehicles and machines vs. building and land), in accordance with professional standards and best practice procedures. Responsibilities also include tracking coordination of communication and exchange of information across the state to ensure participation in, and adherence to, asset management system procedures and practices, including providing training and operations and maintenance monitoring as needed. State agencies and employees, management and leadership staff, other stakeholders - Experience with all modules in NM SHARE 9.2 Financial to include Asset Management Module.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Proficient with Excel: VLOOKUP and pivot tables, and database systems).
- Experience with confidential transactions, record keeping and property Titles.
- Experience with full compliance with established fixed asset accounting policy and procedures as promulgated by State statutes, New Mexico Administrative Code, Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP), General Accounting Standards (GSAB), and DFA Manual of Model Accounting Practices (MAPS). A Bachelor's Degree in any field of study from an accredited college or university and eight (8) years of professional level experience with a light strategic impact directly related to the purpose of the position defined by the agency at the time of recruitment. Any required licensure, certification or registration shall be defined at the time of recruitment and will be in addition to the above requirements. These combinations of education and experience qualify you for the position: 1 High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 12 years of experience 2 Associate's degree AND 10 years of experience 3 Bachelor's degree AND 8 years of experience 4 Master's degree AND 6 years of experience 5 PhD degree AND 4 years of experience - Education and years of experience must be related to the purpose of the position.

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Work is performed primarily in an office setting at the Joseph Montoya Building with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Work extended hours and occasional travel may be required. Sitting/Standing, bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching for extended periods of time may be required.
