Our partner is seeking a skilled ASIC Design Engineer to join their diverse team in San Jose, CA.
The company is a leader in delivering silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products. As an ASIC Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development of high-end switching products using the SiliconOne architecture.
As a member of this team, you will collaborate with experienced professionals with diverse ASIC development expertise. You'll also have the opportunity to work with System and Software teams, contributing to the journey of taking the ASIC from sample arrival through system validation to first customer shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in ASIC design for high-end switching products with SiliconOne architecture.
- Author design specifications and participate in micro architecture reviews.
- Implement Verilog RTL to meet functional and timing requirements.
- Collaborate with verification team to address design bugs and close code coverage.
- Work closely with physical design team to meet timing requirements.
- Assist in post-silicon validation and root cause analysis of failures.
Requirements
- MSEE/CS combined with 1+ years of related experience, or BSEE/CS combined with 2+ years of related experience.
- Strong proficiency in Verilog RTL and SystemVerilog programming.
- Effective interactive and waveform debug skills.
- Knowledge of Linux is essential.
- Scripting experience with Python, Perl, and shell programming is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with ASIC design processes, methodology, and tools.
- Knowledge and experience in Networking ASICs is a plus.
- Post-silicon lab bring-up experience is desirable.
