Our partner, a leading technology company, is currently seeking an experienced ASIC Design Verification Engineer to join their team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, the selected candidate will play a crucial part in the ASIC design verification process for high-end switching products. The position involves various responsibilities such as developing verification environments, collaborating with design teams, and contributing to post-silicon validation efforts. Responsibilities: - Crafting verification environment specifications and comprehensive test plans.
- Active participation in micro-architecture specification reviews.
- Designing and implementing complex verification environments.
- Contributing to the development and support of the verification methodology.
- Analyzing functional coverage and enhancing it as needed.
- Collaborating with the design team to address and improve code coverage.
- Evaluating third-party verification IP requirements and vendor selection.
- Collaborating with software teams to facilitate HW/SW system co-simulation.
- Troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving simulation, software, and customer-related issues.
- Conducting diagnostic and post-silicon validation tests within the lab environment.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to fellow team members.
- Developing simulation models, test plans, and executing direct and random tests.
- Ensuring comprehensive code or functional coverage and participating in multi-chip/system simulation.
- Collaborating closely with hardware, software designers, and external vendors.
Requirements - A degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, either Bachelor's or Master's.
- For Master's holders, a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
- For Bachelor's holders, a minimum of 8 years of related experience.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in ASIC verification.
- Proficiency in System Verilog/UVM and familiarity with Linux and C/C++.
- Knowledge of ASIC design and verification processes, methodology, and associated tools.
- Strong debugging skills, with an advantage if possessing post-silicon lab bring-up experience.
- Expertise in Verilog/System Verilog programming.
- A deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles, constrained random stimulus techniques, and coverage-driven verification strategies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, and shell programming.
- Strong interactive and waveform debug skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
- A collaborative approach and a strong focus on teamwork.
Preferred qualifications: - Familiarity with Networking ASIC design verification.
- Experience in formal verification, including logic equivalency checking.
