NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract award.


SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting the Project Manager and Director of Operations in all facilities operations. Provides direction and guidance to subordinates, assists the Project Manager in developing schedules, and formulates work plans. Responsible for insuring compliance with corporate and local policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, property accountability, employee training, and business processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Provides support to the Project Manager and Director of Operations.
  • Provides updates and reports on work status and issues.
  • Works with supervisors, contractors, and employees to provide support, information, changes, and assistance as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize critical tasks and multi-talk.
  • Must be customer driven and highly responsive to customer requests and philosophy.
  • Responsible for day-to-day safety and quality control.
  • Employees are required to drive a company vehicle.
  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 4 years of facilities experience to include 2 years in a supervisory role.
    • 4-year college degree in construction management, engineering management or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance.
    • Proficient in MS Office.
    • Effective written and oral communications skills.
    • Highly organized and proven follow-through traits.
    • Must pass a background check and drug test.
    • Must maintain a valid state drivers license.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Must have the ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, managers, and staff members. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, state, and federal agencies.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draws valid conclusions. Must be able to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have strong strategic and analytical skills and sound business judgment.

Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the construction site in all types of weather.

The APM or his/her designee will be on-call twenty-four hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year. The employee will work in an office environment. Some travel to project locations will be required as well as some evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
