A critical goal is to increase our internal efficiency by improving automation capabilities and driving the full integration of systems and work processes used across the entire business lifecycle. Air Products has a Build, Own, and Operate business model, from developing product lines, through EPC and Operations. It is therefore crucial to continue building on our current global processes and systems under the leadership of an individual with extensive experience in Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) work processes and automation with a strong understanding of data management. The AWP Automation Specialist will provide overall responsibility for the support, implementation, and management of the companys chosen AWP software.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


This position is responsible for training users, providing issue support and resolution and project setup for the companys chosen AWP software.
Implement data and tools strategy for AWP design and implementation.
Be actively involved in the interactive planning sessions through all phases of the AWP implementation and be ready to intervene in any problems related to the AWP processes and procedures.
Collaborate with the business to define workflows and process for Construction Work Areas (CWAs), Construction Work Packages (CWPs) Engineering Work Packages (EWPs) Procurement Work Packages (PWPs).
Assist Contractors with building IWPs.
Knowledge of EPC systems in engineering design, document management, subcontract management, Construction Management, and commissioning.
Understanding of the change impact of implementation of AWP process to the project lifecycle.
Deep, functional understanding of AWP systems, processes, and data needs, and must be intimately familiar with AWP process, terminology, roles, and responsibilities.
Previous experience implementing and leading AWP systems for large capital construction projects.
Align with the business Owners, and Digital Technology (IT) groups to ensure seamless AWP project execution.
Work with the engineering automation group and enterprise architect to determine integration strategy and alignment with other Air Products' tools.
Work closely with the Regional Project Automation Managers to ensure seamless setup and support of tools.
Work closely with engineering automation group to develop automation procedures for software requirements, configuration, set up, deployment and project close-out/archiving including handover to Operations.
Participate in all project stages with accountability for eliciting, validating and documenting business requirements which ensure value-add to the client.
Work with Change and Release Management team to ensure representation and coordination of the project throughout the change and release process.
Work closely with the PM to ensure successful completion of project deliverables.
Continuously drive excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability, and lowering total costs.

Critically evaluate information captured from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts.
Ability to decompose high-level information into practical details.

Strong working knowledge of applications used on large EPC projects, e.g., Hexagon SmartPlant Construction, P6, Ecosys, OpenText, Procore, Autodesk Build, O3 or similar



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in technical discipline such as construction science, computer science, engineering
Experience on very large-scale EPC, Oil, and Gas, Industrial Gases, or Petrochemical projects (>500MM TIC).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction and engineering applications, such as Hexagon tools and ConstructSim.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge on
WorkPacks
will be an added advantage.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.
Strong experience in construction systems architecture and work process.
Knowledge of the information flow between the automation tools.
Ability to bring teams together to achieve project targets and goals.
