Our client is looking for a capital equipment Account Manager. You will play a pivotal role in driving our strategy and market penetration efforts at select corporate Tier locations. Your primary responsibilities will include leading the strategy implementation at Tier manufacturing sites, defining market potential, identifying key players, and collaborating with our Global Key Account Manager network to ensure alignment in strategy and product approach. You will also serve as the local sales expert, developing business plans, sales materials, and fostering relationships with key stakeholders to drive sales growth within the Tier market.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead strategy implementation at select corporate Tier locations to ensure adoption of equipment for all programs.

  • Map and define Tiers for OEMs and upcoming major programs, identifying new players in the market.

  • Define market potential for company within the Tier market and identify necessary products and solutions to expand market reach.

  • Collaborate with Global Key Account Managers to align strategy and product approach at Tiers globally.

  • Act as the local sales expert for applicable products, solutions, and services offerings at select Tiers.

  • Conduct regular plant visits with Key Account Managers outside of Michigan to provide coaching, define sales strategy, and secure critical programs.

  • Develop a yearly Tiers Business Plan and sales materials to implement the Tier strategy at applicable accounts.

  • Participate in sales strategy discussions for decision makers outside the US or when dealing with Integrators/MTBs.

  • Work with the Proposal Team to standardize product offerings to Tiers.

  • Establish blanket price agreements and negotiate pricing for applicable Tiers.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Experience in dispensing processes and equipment as well as vision systems, and fastening.

  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or strategy roles within the industrial automation sector.

  • Strong understanding of Tier market dynamics and customer needs.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
