Responsibilities
Prepare general ledger journal entries.
Ensures proper and timely recording of financial transactions in the general ledger in accordance with GAAP, company policies and internal control standards.
Manage portfolio of projects and work cross functionally to ensure accurate accounting
Prepare account reconciliations for moderate to complex accounts. Ensures that general ledger ending balances are reconciled and reconciling items are resolved.
Participate in month end close activities
Review of financial results and variance analysis as compared to prior period for assigned areas on the financial statements
Work with various data owners and departments which includes Tax, OPS and Finance
Prepare financial audit PBC requests for quarterly financial reviews and the annual audit for both SEC reporting and the external auditors
Ad-Hoc Reporting and Analysis
Special projects as required
Qualifications
At least 3+ years of experience in accounting
Experience performing accounting research
Strong analytical and process skills; strong attention to detail
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Excel beyond basic use (i.e. pivot tables, vlookups, etc.) required
Experience with Oracle R12 or other ERP systems required
Experience with Hyperion Essbase, preferred
Strong organization and planning skills, and strong PC skills
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Team player with a positive attitude
BA in Accounting, MBA and/or CPA is a Plus
