Looking for someone who has A-Z Accounting experience (preferably has set this up a small firm) to make sure we are compliant on a tax/accounting and financial basis. We are looking for someone who can talk to our External Accountants, help us manage our taxes and finances, and establish all of our processes and policies (for ex: Expense Report policy...).

Biopeptek Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Accounting Senior Manager to join its team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the accounting department and ensuring that all financial activities are accurate and compliant with regulations. As an accounting expert, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to streamline financial operations. You will work closely with executives and other departments to manage financial risk and ensure financial sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, & accounts receivable
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Work with executives and other departments to create and manage strategic financial plans and budgets.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close process, including preparation of financial statements and reporting to senior management.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, CPA preferred.
• Experience managing an accounting professional
• Experience leading the month-end and year-end close process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
