(temporary) Support Analyst, Rebates and Administrative Fees
The U.S. Medical Device Rebates and Administrative Fees team has an opportunity for a support
analyst to join our team in Austin, Texas. This team provides the analysis and supporting payments
for customers who successfully perform and grow according to their contracting partnership with
Abbott. This role will provide exposure to Abbott's successful medical device portfolio and provide
an opportunity to collaborate with the product Finance and sales teams.
What You'll Do
Support the day-to-day operations for the U.S Medical Device Rebates and Administrative Fees
team, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of shared service activities, to agreed service levels.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Core Job Responsibilities
Review incoming agreements and upload terms and conditions to the Rebates and
Admin Fee system.
- Prepare rebate verification form templates for customers to ensure timely data
- submissions.
- Efficiently complete Microsoft Excel spreadsheets including pivot tables, v-lookups,
- conditional formatting.
- Manage the shared email box, responding to internal and external customer inquiries
- and appropriately assigning email tasks to rebate analysts.
- Complete check submissions and accompanying reports, ensuring the log is complete
- and up to date.
- Provide support for internal audits through the collection and submission of requested
- documents.
- Operate independently within a varied and changing scope of responsibilities under
- some supervision.
- Liaise with FP&A, CFS, and other Americas Hub team members to execute the
- financial close, provide guidance, and work together to improve processes.
- Compliance with internal policies.
- Process rebates and fees, coordinating with cross-functional groups to ensure
- customers are paid accurately and on-time. Work within audit guidelines for contract
- approval and contract creation.
- Builds mathematical models & tools to determine payout amounts and track contract
- performance.
- Provides formal and informal written and verbal updates to Customers, Sales, Contract
- Operations Management, Accounting, Finance, Commercial Legal and other cross-
- functional groups.
Education and Experience You'll Bring
- Associates degree in Accounting/Finance and/or Business or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years related work experience
- Strong system knowledge, problem solving skills
