We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Full-Time Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. The Accounts Clerk will play a key role in assisting with various accounting and financial tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our company's financial processes.

Responsibilities:

Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, expense claims, and payments accurately and timely.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a prompt manner.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions in the accounting system.
Assist with bank reconciliations and monitor bank transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and process employee expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations as required.
Assist with payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, and reconciliations.
Assist with financial reporting tasks, including preparing financial statements and variance analysis.
Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting department.
AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification or working towards AAT qualification is advantageous.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
