Accounts Payable Manager Manufacturing

Salary $75,000 + $90,000 + Excellent Benefits in the Houston area

A fast-paced, energetic, and growing manufacturing & design company needs an Accounts Payable Manager to enhance their Accounting Team. Your goal as the Accounts Payable Manager is to provide timely & well-organized financial support to the payables process. As the Accounts Payables Manager, you will review and oversee everything transactional, including purchase orders, inventory receipts, invoices, payroll and cash postings. This position is responsible for Financial Reporting and analyzing accounting information. You will lead and manage up to 3 accounting associates where you will enhance and create better working practice and systems management. You will have the opportunity to develop and do a start-up of processes and procedures. You will also be involved in the month end and will be a key player in the year end audits. Experience with bank & credit card account reconciliations verifying payments have been made. Your accuracy will be reflected in your reports showing payments & outstanding invoices. Youll need a professional demeanor when dealing with vendors as well as both internal and external stakeholders. The Accounts Payable Manage will be responsible for improving process such as SOP, KPIs and establishing accounting procedures.

For this position, you will need a bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting. Youll need solid experience with Financial Reporting, Auditing, payroll and cash posting. You will also need to be able to accurately work on multiple deadlines.

Minimum requirements for this Accounts Payable position:
BS degree: Accounting, finance, economy or business discipline preferred
At least 5 years experience in accounting, invoicing, & A/P processing
Experience with GAAP
Audit experience
Experience with Financial Reporting
Experience with Sage 100 (Or experience with Oracle, SAP, ERP or JD Edwards).
