Mitchell Lewis & Staver, is a leading provider in innovative water solutions, we're seeking an Assembler to join our dynamic team in Visalia, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components of centrifugal, submersible turbine, and turbine pumps. Ensuring quality and efficiency to meet customer needs. Requirements

• Read and understand written instructions
• Pull parts for production and prepare builds for shipment
• Perform work within MLS safety program parameters
• Complete all production tickets when the jobs are completed
• Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions and an intermediate level
• Utilize hand and pneumatic tools to complete builds and disassembly of repair work
• Operate and maintain a lathe to trim impellers to meet build specifications
• Operate and maintain press when required to complete a build
• Operate an oxy-acetylene torch for heating and cutting for disassembly of repair work as required
• Conducts quality control checks
• Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of duties in this job classification

Experience Required

• 2-3 years experience in product assembly in similar industry preferred
• Experience in basic mechanical work and machinery
• Experience in the application of basic math
• Ability to operate a forklift

• Analysis & problem-solving: ability to work independently with little direction

Education Required

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 2-3 years of previous experience in a related field

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Ability to move product(s) weighing up to 50 pounds, including lifting, placing, pushing and pulling
• Ability to work overtime

Work Environment

• This positions job duties are performed generally in a shop or warehouse-type environment
• This position may be exposed to loud noises from operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals and vapors, work involving manufactured parts, assembly, and heavy machinery
• May also occasionally be required to work in an office environment with traditional office lighting and office furniture, as well as consistent and frequent noise, interruptions, and other similar distractions
• This position is not eligible for telework
