Klosterman Baking Company is seeking an Assistant Facilities Engineer who directly supervises maintenance employees to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services and support to production. This includes planning, assigning, and directing work. Addressing problems when needed and coordinate regular training activities for your team. This position will be responsible to maintain high efficiency and maintenance on our bakery production equipment. They are also responsible to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies.

Assistant Facilities Engineer Responsibilities:

• Ability to effectively manage preventative maintenance to plant equipment, machinery and facilities
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment and machinery for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or other problems using schematics, drawings, manuals, multi-meters, etc.
• Troubleshoot AC and DC electrical controls and circuits
• Understand PLC operations and troubleshoot from a nonprogrammer level.
• Perform routine tasks, such as set-ups, cleaning, lubricating, and starting equipment
• Operate forklifts and scissor lift equipment
• Create a work environment that is based on trust, honesty, and teamwork
• Establish and monitor overall maintenance performance
• Engages in typical responsibilities of a manager required planning, evaluating, organizing, integrity and delegating.
• Provide leadership to the maintenance team by developing and implementing short range plans and identifying goals and objectives that are aligned with the companys vision and mission.

Maintenance Supervisor Requirements:

• Associate's Degree or certificate in related engineering field required
• Experience with 3 phase and low voltage power is required
• Experience with fasteners, hand & power tools, precision measurement tools, gearboxes, bearings, rotating equipment, and assembly/disassembly of machinery is required
• Extensive knowledge and ability to weld and fabricate required
• Experience with photo eyes, prox. switches, etc. is required
• Knowledge in use of calipers and micrometers is required
• Strong teamwork capabilities is an essential requirement
• Familiar with general plumbing using PVC, Copper and black iron pipe
• Good communication skills, self-motivated and detail oriented
• Experience and knowledge in dealing and working with: FDA, HACCP, OSHA, and GMPs.
• Food Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred
