Job DescriptionThe Assistant Warehouse Manager warehouse role combines supervisory duties with hands-on tasks like inventory control and order fulfilment. Supervision and Team Management: Schedule and oversee warehouse staff, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Train new staff on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and safety practices. Address staff concerns and performance issues, maintaining a positive and productive work environment. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts, resolving discrepancies, and stock adjustments. Monitor inventory levels of consumables and identify reorder points to prevent stockouts. Participate in inventory planning and optimization processes. Warehouse Operations: Oversee receiving, unloading, and storage of inbound shipments. Manage order picking and fulfilment processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Coordinate outbound shipments and liaise with. carriers for pick-ups and deliveries. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Other Duties: Contribute to developing and implementing warehouse policies and procedures for improved efficiency. In the Warehouse Manager's absence, take full responsibility for all warehouse operations. Qualifications and Skills: Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in warehouse management software (WMS) is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
